The purpose of the provision of personal care to people who are living in their own home is to sustain and whenever possible improve their independence.

We provide two types of services Personal Care or Domestic.

We have compiled a list of answers to Frequently Asked Questions from our customers, which we hope will be of help to you.

Q If I have a contract, which is for two visits a week but I plan to go out one of those days, do I get charged.
A Providing you give us 24 hours notice, no we will not charge you.
Q How do we know that these carers can be trusted when they come into our home?
A All our carers undergo a criminal records bureau and pova check and two written references are taken prior to carer starting employment with us.
Q How can I pay for my services?
A We invoice you monthly and you can send us a cheque made payable to Wrekin Care. Alternatively you can always pay the carer direct on the day of her/his visit if you prefer.
Q What if my regular carer goes on holiday or is sick?
A We have carers who are employed to cover such visits and you will be notified of any changes of carer prior to the carer arriving.
Q Are the carers experienced for the type of work they do?
A All our carers go thorough an induction process prior to working alone, they also attend training courses for any job related task they undertake.
Q How can I be sure that my personal information will remain private?
A All our carers sign a confidentiality agreement, which outlines that the client's personal confidences are respected.
Q Can I pick the time I would like the carer to visit me?
A The majority of the time we would say yes, however if it is a domestic visit e.g. hoovering, laundry etc we give priority to clients needing assistance to personal care first. But we will do our utmost to accommodate your preferred times.
